HE'BREW Turns 10

Comically billing itself as "The Chosen Beer," HE'BREW is celebrating its 10th Anniversary this week with a pair of free parties to thank its local core of fans - both Jews and gentiles alike.

What started as a high school joke between HE'BREW founder Jeremy Cowan and friends, the microbrew has since sold more than two million bottles across the country.

Cowan says even the very religious find humor in his brand and the image of a happily dancing, quite possibly intoxicated Rabbi on every bottle.

Guests at this week's parties will be invited to sample a new beer called "Bittersweet Lenny's R.I.P.A.," dedicated to the memory of Lenny Bruce and his famous saying, "Satire equals tragedy plus time."
